Wildfire Watch (redcrowlabs.com/wildfires) is operated by Red Crow Labs. It is a read-only dashboard: there are no accounts, no logins, and no forms anywhere on the site. This policy describes the little there is to describe.
Nothing, beyond what any web page collects by existing. There is no signup, no comment box, no analytics tracker embedded by us, and no cookie set by this site.
Standard infrastructure logs apply regardless of what any individual site does with them: Cloudflare (which runs the data-collection Worker) and Vercel (which serves the page) log requests — IP address, browser type, timestamp — for operating and securing their networks. We do not access or use these logs to identify visitors.
The map tiles are requested directly by your browser from CARTO and OpenStreetMap's servers, not proxied through us. Loading the map exposes your IP address to those providers the same way it would on any site with an embedded map. See CARTO's and OpenStreetMap's own privacy policies.
The dashboard can push alerts to Telegram, WhatsApp, and email. Those destinations — a chat ID, a phone number, an inbox — belong to the site operator and are configured as server-side secrets on the Worker. There is no way for a visitor to sign up for alerts through this site, and no visitor contact information is ever collected, stored, or processed by it.
The Worker fetches public data from three sources on a schedule, unrelated to any individual visitor's use of the page:
No personal or visitor data is ever sent to these services. Results are cached in Cloudflare Workers KV and served back to every visitor identically.
Wildfire Watch is not affiliated with NASA, the World Air Quality Index project, Open-Meteo, AEMET, Météo-France, Copernicus EMS, or any government agency. It republishes their public data on a schedule; it does not speak for them.
This policy may be updated as the site changes. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to opt out of, since nothing is collected — updates will simply reflect reality as of the date above.
