Red Crow Labs

Follow the crow. It always knows.

Red Crow Labs is a personal R&D studio exploring creative systems, narrative prototypes, and off-map problem solving. It's where ideas get tested, broken, rebuilt, and sharpened before they enter the world.

What Happens Here

Why It Exists

Some work needs a quiet place to grow. Red Crow Labs is that place a skunkworks for ideas that don't fit traditional models.

Colby Angus Black

Creative technologist, producer, and senior operator.

I build things that help people move, think, organize, and connect. Sometimes that means shipping large-scale digital products. Sometimes it means vibecoding an idea at 2 AM with a murderers' row of AIs. Either way, I make the complex feel simple.

Selected Work

MLB Road Trip Planner

A fully functional tool that answers the question: "Which games can I get to if I drop everything and go right now?" Built with a murderers' row of AIs (Gemini, Copilot, Rocket.New, Cursor) that I personally vibecoded. What started as a mileage chart became a scalable platform for fans and brand partners.

The Ghosting Buster

A simple, web-based tool that helps hiring teams send concise, varied, direct rejection feedback with a single click. It gives candidates closure and gives recruiters their time back. Because any feedback is better than none.

The Lincoln Way

When I was done with it, The Lincoln Way was the highest-rated app by an auto manufacturer. Users could monitor their Lincoln, schedule service, and even start their car from anywhere in the world. The best part of owning a Lincoln might just be the app.

IBM at the US Open

Digital innovation work for one of the most iconic partnerships in sports and technology.

OLSC Brooklyn: Leading the League in Innovation

As the digital innovation lead for the Official Liverpool Supporters Club of Brooklyn, I built and scaled a digital ID program for 1,000+ members. This wasn't corporate work it was community work. And the lessons were invaluable.

Campbell's Soup

Digital efforts for Campbell's "Wisest Kid in the World." David Gianatoso at AdAge loved it.

KIND Snacks

Produced the digital efforts for KIND's "How KIND of You" campaign. A slick interface, a robust backend, and a ton of segmented emails all built to feel effortless.

In the Garage

Experimental, R&D, and AI-driven projects.

Corner Watch

An AI-powered traffic violation monitor built with a $25 camera, YOLOv8, OpenCV, and a lot of Python. It catalogs moving violations and generates anonymized dashboards for city agencies. Extreme hobby energy.

Time Window

An ADHD-friendly calendar simplifier that removes distractions and tells you exactly what to work on. If you wander, it leads you through a breathing exercise. Built with Gemini, Cursor, and Railway.

Family Tree Visualizer

I'm the CTO of a 400-person extended family. This tool visualizes the family tree and manages mass SMS notifications for births, marriages, and emergencies.

AskLulu

An AI-powered chatbot to help senior citizens use the technology in their pockets. Inspired by a 108-minute FaceTime call with my mom.

Anfield AR

A geo-fenced AR experience for Liverpool supporters, built with 8th Wall. Step into the Anfield press room or on-pitch interview space after a match.
